INTRODUCTION
Thermoplastic road marking compound is a mixture of glass beads, pigment and filler held together by a binder. The composition becomes a liquid when heat is applied.
The definition of Thermoplastic road marking compound is defined as :
”A solvent free marking substance supplied in block, granular or powder forms. It heated to a molten state and then applied with an appropriate hand or mechanical applicator. If forms a cohesive film by cooling.”
The thermoplastic road marking material is a 100% solid, environment and user friendly compound. It fulfills the current requirements on productivity, environmental protection and product performance. Because the products are 100% solid, they do not require drying time and their use keeps traffic disruption to a minimum.
